It's not whataboutism.

The president of your choice has done his best to undermine western solidarity supporting a democratic government (Ukraine) fighting an existential war of unprovoked aggression by a dictator. And Trump claimed to cut our funding of Ukraine for financial reasons (even though it was pennies on the dollar for the harm we were doing to our second biggest international threat at zero cost of American lives). And now he's going to spend our money on an enemy that is not nearly the same threat to us.

We could easily support both actions. It's only because of Trump that we're doing one and not the other. And it's only because of Trump that you support attacking one while getting in line behind Trump to orally pleasure the other.

But if this is still going on in a few months, why we'll just have to cancel those pesky Mid Terms, eh?

The Iranian regime killing tens of thousands of its own citizens who want regime change should be enough to justify assisting them in removing the current regime from power. You have not responded, which suggests you agree that you were incorrect in your opinion on the limitations of the Federal government's ability to protect Americans from discrimination (and maybe a dawning realization that this discrimination might be the chickens coming home to roost for some of those who helped the GOP into office with protest votes).

Otherwise, I look forward to you, or perhaps the two legal scholars who gave your post Newsworthy flags, letting us know exactly how "this is a state issue nothing to do with the federal government" other than that being the position of the GOP SCOTUS that you repeatedly helped into office.
